Our Story

Truxweb was born out of necessity and innovation. In 2020, Mathieu van Gent, one of our co-founders, faced a pressing challenge while working with his family's logistics brokerage business, Falcon International. The company was losing bids because it was time consuming to find good options and often exceeded competitors' rates by 40%. This issue became glaringly evident during a project for a European client, where Falcon fell behind by 30% in both speed and pricing after three weeks of work. Recognizing the urgent need for change, Mathieu joined forces with co-founders Jason Galarneau, Maxime Gravel, and Myrielle Robitaille.

They had met during their EMBA program at Concordia in Montreal, each bringing unique skills and experiences to the table. Jason, our Chief Technology Officer (CTO), brought a strong engineering background from ABB. Maxime, with two decades in banking, drove innovation in trading brokerage. Myrielle, an engineer and serial entrepreneur, had successfully launched and sold two businesses, specializing in electrification. Together, they conceptualized and founded Truxweb, a revolutionary platform eliminating costly intermediaries and connecting shippers directly with trucking companies.

The impact was significant. Truxweb's LTL module saved small businesses in Quebec up to 40% on logistics costs, ending uncertainty and rising expenses.Today, Truxweb is on a mission to simplify logistics for small and medium-sized enterprises (SMEs). Addressing 90% of issues causing delays and frustration, they combine innovative technology and a dedicated concierge team to redefine logistics, enabling businesses to streamline operations and reduce costs in a couple clicks!
